Signs › Pisces
♓︎ Pisces
Dissolution, compassion, the boundless sea.
The Sun crosses Pisces each year around February 19 – March 20, the span most people mean when they say they “are” a Pisces. On the clock it occupies the 330°–360° arc of the gold ring, traditionally ruled by Jupiter.

In the classical scheme Pisces combines the water element with the mutable mode, on the negative, receptive half of the wheel: a feeling, instinctive, tidal key. Being mutable, it bends, blends, and changes shape to fit the moment.
Season anchors the sign: it closes winter, dissolving the old year into the new. Tradition hands its rulership to Jupiter, the traditional ruler: faith widened until the edges dissolve, and assigns it the feet in the classical body-map.
Read well, Pisces shows as compassion without a border; read badly, it slides toward a tide that carries everything away.
