The Sun crosses Aries each year around March 21 – April 19, the span most people mean when they say they “are” a Aries. On the clock it occupies the 0°–30° arc of the gold ring, traditionally ruled by Mars.

Aries is the cardinal fire sign, belonging to the positive, outward-turned half of the zodiac: a fast, outward, expressive key. Being cardinal, it wants to start things and set them moving.
